Plusnet upgrade do i need to cancel my old direct debit?

I'm upgrading from ADSL to Fibre. The price is better than my current deal. Do I need to cancel the old direct debit or does Plusnet just alter the amount automatically to refelct the new contract cost?

A direct debit doesn't specify an amount. PlusNet will use the existing DD and debit the new amount
