Hi, if anyone from Plusnet is looking at this - your Broadband deals and Upgrade deals ( when logged in) are showing prices from March 2027 and March 2028. I don't know if this is intentional and I am just not getting it but why would you advertise pricing that starts in a years time?
Can I also say that the way you list your deals makes no sense at all. The attached screenshot states its 23.99 for 24 months and then 34.99. Below that its states 27.99 - of course that's from 2027 - a years time. So what is it? 23.99 or 27.99?
You need to speak to your development team and sort out the way you list your pricing as I am sure its not legal.
Thanks

I expect these figures are based on currently known, OFCOM determined fixed price increases - of £4 pm.

Its a 24 month contract with mid contract price increases.
So you would pay £23.99/m until March 2027 when it increases to £27.99 and then to £31.99 from March 2028.
Once out of contract the price would be £34.99 unless a new contract is negotiated.
Basically blame Ofcom for allowing mid-contract price rises. So all ISPs now quote a low price at the start of the contract but then have to specify what the price rises are.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi , thanks for replying. So basically its a price increase each March regardless of where you are in the 24 months. That's a very odd way of doing things. OK, I guess that sort of makes sense,
Thanks

Hi @rutherfordb
Just to add to the great advice that you've already received, we have a web page which explains our annual price increases in more depth.

Chris, thanks for the link. I don't mean to be a pain but Plusnet still have a very confusing way of listing their deals that could potentially get you into trouble with trading standards. In the attached image its clearly states its '23.99 a month for 24 months'. That's a pretty clear statement with no ambiguity. Having the price increases below then clearly contradicts the original statement as it turns out its NOT 23.99 for 24 months. Trading standards guidelines are very clear about this stating :
- is information that a consumer needs to know omitted, hidden, given in a manner that is unclear or untimely, or provided in such a way that the consumer is unlikely to see it?
It could be argued that stating two different pricing strategies is unclear.

Thanks for feeding this back. Will be having a look in to what is happening here - as you say it's not clear what the pricing will be with the annual £4 pricing.
Thanks,
Paul
