Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

Hi
I would like to attach one of the plusnet referal banners to all of my emails that I send to family, friends and other people who I may need to contact.
Is this possible to do without the html?
I know that I can just copy and paste a banner but when you click on it nothing happens as I have only copied the picture and not the HTML code
which is needed to show that I am the person refering.
Any ideas anyone

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

You could copy the banner without the link behind it which is HTML and then put a typed link underneath it the same as the ad which the user would then either have to copy and paste or click.
e.g.
http://www.plus.net/myreferrals/new.html?w645oK3%2FCguHYxTpF%2BrJmTKnQdzftfbPw6BLalzrU1s%3D
which can be found in the member centre.

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

And of course - if anybody accidentally clicks on Adie's link above, and then forgets/omits to clear their cookies - he will get a referral for it.
Nice touch Adie. Grin
(Somebody did the same thing in the old forums many moons ago, and I had the devils job getting the referral I'd signed up on my computer back to being linked to my account.)

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

So if I copy the banner and paste it to my email then put this long link underneath that would show up as I refered them?
http://www.plus.net/myreferrals/new.html?w645oK3%2FCguHYxTpF%2BrJmRQAlPLus3z%2BL7RrSpSdzck%3D
Is there anyway I can shorten the address to just www.plus.net

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

If they click that link it would, however as you don't want to use html there is no way to shorten it.

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

no still could not get it working, it does not show the banner just all the html text below again.
This is the html that I am pasting into note book...

<div align='center'><a
href='http://www.plus.net/myreferrals/new.html?w645oK3%2FCguHYxTpF%2BrJmRQAlPLus3z%2BL7RrSpSdzck%3D'><img
src='http://www.plus.net/images/referrals/adsl-broadband/super-fast/468x60_move-for-free.gif'
alt="Want to save money on your broadband? Quick, grab this lifeline from
PlusNet. Up to 8Mb broadband from only£9.99 per month. Free setup available -
terms apply. Now with Internet phone calls. PlusNet broadband."
border="0"></a></div>

See if you can do it and let me know how you get on...

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

From an initial look there isn't an IMG tag..
Try this..

nbsp;

/s]
All wrong

Re: Plusnet Referal Banner in emails

Yep I copied the html thats underneath the banner.
heres what I am doing...
Copy html from members centre
paste unto note pad and save as txt document (cant save as html as there isnt one only txt or all files)
open email Open tools,options then signatures
click new, click file, click browse
find folder that i saved
highlight saved folder
click open folder
click apply
click ok
go to email to create a email to see if its worked but its just a load of html text.........
