Payment request out of contract

Morning, I've moved broadband but continue getting payment demands. According to plusnet, my service is now restricted due to non payment.
I'm not concerned about service restrictions as I'm with another provider.
I'm concerned about the negative effect it could have on my credit rating and would like to see this resolved please.

@Thereisonlyone does your new provider still use the Openreach network ? or is it Virgin media or one of the Fibre 'altnet' providers ?

If its the former, then your Plusnet account should have been closed automatically, if its the latter then you will need to cancel with Plusnet directly

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

When did you move, have you received your final invoice and have you paid it?

Hi John. Started September 25th, no final bill as yet.

Then NOW should have informed PN you had moved, which  it appears they haven't. You will need to contact them and ask why.

@Thereisonlyone AFAIK NowTV use the Openreach network so moving SHOULD have automatically closed your Plusnet account.

Did they transfer your phone number ?

Did you get any 'sorry you are leaving' messages/emails from Plusnet ?

Or you have upgraded to full fibre and your PN line is still active?

Either way contact support and make sure you pay your bill until you get a final bill.

Can't afford to pay two companies, so I'll just pay the one and sort out the issue. Cheers
