Paid next months bill today, but leaving on Monday.

I just want to double check my assumptions on billing are correct?

Basically, the Direct Debit for 14th April to 13th May for my Plusnet services has been taken today, however I am leaving Plusnet on Monday.

I am out of contract, moving to BT and have no additional costs (such as calls), to be accounted for, so I am assuming that I will receive a refund for the period 16th April to the 13th May.

Is that correct and how long should I expect to wait?

Will the refund be returned to my bank?

Fix

If you leave your DD active, your refund should be credited your bank account.  If you cancel your DD, PN will send you a cheque, and I understand that they normally promise to do so within 30 days of your account being closed.  However, PN are well-known for billing customers who've left, so hopefully by posting here one of the helpful PN staff who read our posts will make sure this doesn't happen in your case.

Re: Paid next months bill today, but leaving on Monday.

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear you're leaving us.

As @Jonpe has advised we'll provide you with a pro-rata refund back to your direct debit once it has completed the processing of your invoice.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
