I am sure I read the correct information on the package offers at the start of May. Question #87915881
1 Plusnet Unlimited Fibre - Market 2/3 charge 01/07/2014 31/07/2014 £19.99
1 Plusnet Anytime charge 01/07/2014 31/07/2014 £14.50
1 Call Plan charge 01/07/2014 31/07/2014 £5.00
My recollection was that I wanted to sign up for unlimited fibre and phone calls package at £19.99 per month with free weekend calls and evenings (additional £5.00 per month for anytime calls) with line rental charged separately. Current fair deal offer was mentioned at £16.50 per month and I assume this was for the package without £5.00 anytime? So I was under impression that I would be payng maximum £24.99 month plus line rental NOT £40.00 . Why would I?
I have queried this but apparently I have to wait for a tape of a phone call to made. This is quite concerning to me.

One of the Team Leaders is going to listen to the original call as there is nothing stated on the account about the offer that was made to you. You'll be getting a call back once that's been done and if we've overcharged you or if we've got it wrong, we'll ensure that you're refunded and discounts added to your account where appropriate.

I'll leave DCT to sort out your discount issue, but looking at the figures you've given, £24.99 (£19.99 broadband plus £5 anytime call plan charge) per month plus line rental (the confusingly labelled "PlusNET anytime plan") is £40 PCM.

The line rental is not included in the proposed charges to me that is separate. Unless the line rental is the £14.50 figure? If that is the case I have no problem with the charges.

A question, Does the description change depending on your call package ? i.e in this case it shows PlusNet Anytime Charge. Would it show Plusnet Evening & Weekends Charge if your call plan was E & W ?
Would be an awful lot simpler if it showed Line Rental Charge, the call plan charge is show separately anyway

It is the call plan which "carries" the variable cost not the line rental, thus it is peculiar that the variable cost item has a fixed name, whilst the fixed cost item has a variable name.
