Overcharged. Can’t get through to customer service

I checked online banking to see that plus net had charged me over £50 for broadband, when we pay by direct debit every month £20.99 for unlimited. Getting through to customer service is impossible, we have tried three times with wait times all over half an hour. We do have jobs and a busy life and have better things to do

 

On checking the email, it states “arrears” !  We pay by direct debit, a fixed amount every month. Online chat isn’t working. How on earth do we get our money back and quit Plusnet?  Been with it for years, but is now dreadful
