Over Charged?

Hello, i signed up for the 12 month fibre extra with phone line included for £27.99. My first payment of 27.99 was taken and the service is up and running. However, i have a online bill stating i now have to pay  £44.68. Why is this? The price i signed up for included the line rental and fibre so i don't understand why i am being billed nearly twice the amount:

1 Call charge - 17/08/2018 £17.18
1 Unlimited Fibre Extra - Market 2/3 charge 16/08/2018 15/09/2018 £20.99
1 Call Plan charge 16/08/2018 15/09/2018 £0.00
1 Line Only charge 16/08/2018 15/09/2018 £18.99
1 Unlimited Fibre Extra Broadband Discount - - -£12.48

Total: £44.68

Re: Over Charged?

Fix
The answer is in your own post.

Your deal there is line and fibre extra for £27.50. That would be the £18.99 line rental, the £20.99 fibre extra and the £12.48 discount.

Then add in the £17.18 call charges and you finish up with £44.68. Remember-the offer doesn't include a call plan, just the line rental so you pay for all your calls. If your phone bill is that much it might be worth getting a plan. The unlimited UK landlines plus 2000 mobile minutes is £8 a month.

Re: Over Charged?

I've checked my online phone bill and it does not show £17 in call charges, no where near. So, no it does not answer my own question.

Re: Over Charged?

The £17 I got from your numbers. Don't forget-call charges bill from the month before not the current month so make sure you change the bill date to last months calls with the drop menu on the phone bill page. When you just jump to your phone bill it will show you your call charges for this month, which would come on your next bill.

Have to be honest-I'd be surprised if they're not there somewhere. I've seen call charge errors where a plan hasn't been added and should have for instance, but I can't think of an example where the actual charge has been wrong based purely on the numbers and rules/plans active at the time (of course I stand to be corrected here!)

Re: Over Charged?

Hi @riggedplays

I'm afraid those charges are correct on viewing your account.

Call charges are charged in arrears.

If you would like to add anytime calls to your account for £8 so you can make calls to UK landlines free of charge up to 60 minutes please follow the link here

Thank you.
