THAT worked, @Rikjonno . OK, they do need to install ducting - FTTP cabling cannot be Direct In Ground. How far away from the nearest Openreach chamber are you?

That worked - thanks for the information.
To the right of WBC FTTP is shows - KCI2. This means a survey is required as OpenReach are unsure of the access to your property.
Below the window it states "UG partial Direct in Ground"
This means you have an underground conenction where the original copper was partially buried direct in the ground with no duct.
So to get back to your original question it means OR have to dig to lay duct to create a path for the fibre optic cable. The only reason I can think of why it's taking so long is complicated street works are required. That or the OR system has got itself tangled up in what's required.
You can either wait for a staff member to pick up on this thread or phone PN Support again. If you do phone ask for an escalation to find out what's happening.

Do you have an Open support ticket on the PN system? Use the following to find out
https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=search
If you have one respond to it asking for an escalation

Question - Do you own the ground between the OR Chamber and your property?
If not, it's possible OR haven't been able to secure permission to do the digging.

Thank you for your patience.
Openreach have advised that further dig and ducting is required to provide your service. This work is now expected to be completed by between the 19-25th. Your case handler is now chasing this to ensure there are no further delays and we will next be in contact within 48 hours of 16/09/25 to provide a further update on your case.
Today I have recieved a Openreach email giving a new date of Oct 3rd.
Thanks Rik

@grumble I am probably wasting my time responding to you as you seem to like spraying rubbish, but I am not the only one complaining about the PLUSNET implementation of this 'safety' acts stupid requirements.
However, because I am more than a little fed up of your constant sniping and your apparent lack of common sense, can I request you take a long holiday from the forums? I have yet to see you contribute anything of value.
