Their offer is to transfer me to EE for the same cost
@philstoke before you get pressured in to moving to EE, make sure you understand the difference between third party VoIP and "Digital Voice" (as provided by EE) - I did a brief overview here.
I've been using VoIP since early 2013 and would never want to be constrained by the limitations of "Digital Voice".
If I were in your position, I'd get Plusnet to 'upgrade' your FTTC broadband to 'Fibre' (SoGEA), then migrate your phone number to a third party VoIP provider (such as A&A). Your broadband will perform the same but for lower monthly cost, your phone will work the same but with better call quality and MUCH lower cost, and you'll have the flexibility to independently upgrade your router and/or phones, or change suppliers without being tied in to a potentially expensive and restrictive EE contract.

A search in plusnet help pages reveals this FAQ
https://www.plus.net/help/my-account/changes-to-broadband-and-phone-faqs
I would be cautious believing personal views as a defined timetable, plusnet may have an agreement with openreach for some flexibility on dates, the FAQ does state retired by 2027.

Plusnet are not obliged to do anything, it’s a case of asking and clearly understanding the full details of their offer.
I would assume that you have received a headline offer, with the devil being in the detail of any new contract, to which you will be asked to agree.

Even if you you did migrate to EE for the same cost as you are paying Plusnet now, presumably that 'offer' is only for the initial period of a new EE contract. On subsequent EE contract renewal, the ongoing cost of EE is likely to be quite expensive.
I just looked up the comparable costs of Plusnet vs EE broadband, and A&A VoIP vs EE "Digital Voice".
So when your initial EE contract expires in 2027 -
The EE broadband costs £34.99 / month, whereas Plusnet would have been £31.99.
Comparing "Digital Voice" with VoIP -
A&A VoIP costs £1.44 / month for the number rental, PLUS landline calls at 1.5p / minute (with no call setup charges).
Whereas EE, you'd have to choose a package, but assuming you pick inclusive calls, it would be £18 / month.
However if you choose the EE "Pay per call", then that would be £5 / month, PLUS the following EE call charges -

Thanks "outcast" for all the information, I will look into it more but am going away soon for a few weeks so will sort it out then, I have never had any problems with Plusnet and EE seem to have quite a few bad feedbacks, so will problably upgrade and go with A&A, but might as well stay as I am as long as I can because my evening and weekend calls are included in my package at the moment

I don't see this as an urgent problem.
Once you have gone with an integrated broadband/voice solution from EE, although it is quite elegant as it is a "one box" solution, you are limiting any future broadband supplier (and equipment) choices.
When I did the VoIP/fibre upgrade I went for Plusnet for broadband, bought a Gigaset VoIP DECT base station and went with a "landline" with a non-BT group VoIP supplier.

Thanks for the replies, no I don't have anything other than Broadband, moving to EE would be good as I should be able to keep my landline number and plug my existing analogue phone straight into EEs router, I will give them a call
Best of luck with that route. Two people I have dealt with expected the same but ended up without a phone for 3 weeks+ because EE do not know how to turn on the green socket on their hub so an analogue phone will work (or analogue DECT base station etc).
After enough complaints, weekly futile engineer visits (green socket is a remote configure) and downright lies (your router is too strong) they both got sent a pack of 4 'digital voice' handsets to do wi-fi calling and bypass the green socket.
As noted elsewhere EE is relatively expensive, especially for calls, and the BT/EE 'digital voice' is a closed system.
I have gone with A&A using Yealink T41S LAN wired phones on PlusNet FTTP and also (very good) ADSL.

I'm not presently looking for another VoIP service so I'm not up to speed with what's available, but just had a very quick look at Premitel as I hadn't heard of them.
I didn't bother to read all the details of their offerings because the following stuck out like a sore thumb;
"Our Fair-Use policy is that the monthly Inbound minutes for each user should not exceed double the inclusive Outbound minutes for that user’s applicable tariff. Inbound calls that exceed the Fair-Use limit will be charged at £0.01 per minute."
That would certainly put me off as I use other cheaper VoIP services for outgoing calls and change the CLI to that of my BT landline (which I'll obviously need to port in the not too distant future).
