Obtaining MAC via email

Apologies if this question has already been asked, but  it's there an email address to be used for cancelling my PN account and getting the MAC key? Cannot used phone due to disability and do not want to  resort to sending a recorded delivery letter  Thanks in anticipation.

No there is not, the only way you can cancel is either by phone or letter.

I guess it is because emails can be forged and can be sent maliciously from another address while appearing to come from you
Normal email is not really a secure method of sending off instructions.
So not surprisingly like banks plusnet do not allow such instructions to be sent via emails.

Interestingly, MACs are due to be removed in the future.
Is there any particular reason you are looking to leave Plusnet? are you just looking for a better deal?

When are MACs due to be removed - "in the future" can be years away!

Initially it was meant to be by the end of 2014 but I think it might be the middle of 2015.
