Not able to cancel contract as Plusnet aren't taking calls...

I'm out of contract and want to cancel, and according to Plusnet's website, the only way to cancel is by calling 0800 432 0200. I call that number, and the automated message says Plusnet aren't taking calls (presumably due to overload due to coronavirus). So, how on earth do I cancel my contract? Hugely frustrating that Plusnet don't let users cancel online - I can't be bothered with the inevitable sales pitch to stay when I do manage to speak to someone, I just want to cancel...and right now, I'm unable to, because Plusnet aren't taking calls and don't have the ability to let customers cancel within their account page. So...I'm stuck.

Welcome to the forum.  😊

For clarity - when you say 'cancel' do you mean ceasing broadband totally, or do you want to change to another ISP?

Fix

@oliverwalsh89

I found this webpage that gives you the options available to cancel - either telephone or write a letter to Plusnet  (or download a cancellation form from Plusnet - link on the webpage- and send that to them).

https://www.broadbandgenie.co.uk/providers/plusnet/broadband/how-to-cancel-plusnet-broadband

Hope that helps.

@oliverwalsh89

You could use the expensive 'snail mail' option and send to:

Plusnet plc
The Balance
2 Pinfold Street
Sheffield
S1 2GU

A bit odd for a communications company but .....................................

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Not able to cancel contract as Plusnet aren't taking calls...

Thanks all, seems Plusnet have different phone numbers to call on different pages - the number to call to cancel is 0808 169 2448, I'm now on hold to speak to someone.
