New contract after house move

I have line rental saver and unlimited broadband.

Before moving flats on 9 Oct, I was told my new flat had no BT phone line and a new line had to be installed for £100+, or I could sign up a new 24-month contract at £6.99 monthly broadband plus line rental saver.

I chose the 24-month contract.

An engineer visit was booked for 10 Oct but it turned out the flat did have a BT line. The line went live on 10 Oct without an engineer visit. I found this out from a text from you and a call to the customer service.

My broadband went live on 24 October.

Since I did not need an engineer visit, I would like to know what options I should have been offered.

Re: New contract after house move

I think there is a fee of £65 for moving unless you opt for a new contract.  What the Home Moves team would have offered is probably not possible to establish after the event since, as I understand it, these offers are subject to frequent change.

If you haven't already done so, take a look here: https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/movinghome/  See "Here's the legal bit" at the bottom of the page.
