New charges for Pro option

When do/did the new lower prices for Pro take effect, I'm on Market 3 and was still billed £19.99 on my last billing date 21st April. Was this correct?

Re: New charges for Pro option

Existing customers don't get charged the increased price of Value ( and presumably Pro if in Market 1&2 ) for 12 months, does that mean they don't also get the price reduction of Pro in Market 3 for 12 months  Roll_eyes

Hmm don't understand that, if you are saying the charges made on 21st April are for 21st april to 20th May then I should have been charged the cheaper rate - correct?

Re: New charges for Pro option

I have been doing a bit of digging and this post http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,84166.msg694835.html#msg694835 says you will move onto the new rate

Re: New charges for Pro option

Which version of 'Pro' are you on? I think the price reduction applies only to the current Plusnet Pro product and not to the Broadband Pro version.

Spraxyt is correct, the price change is only for Plusnet Pro not Broadband Your Way Pro.

Re: New charges for Pro option

There's no difference in traffic shaping as both have 'no restricted' speeds and both include 20Gb per month allowance, just wondered if there's different contract lenghs or something else not obvious. I should think there must be a reason to charge an extra £3.50/month for the BBYW pro

Re: New charges for Pro option

Hi paulgul
After reading lots of posts on this forum I think there are 4 main differences.
1st the obvious one the price, good at the moment but remember if you move house to a market 1 or 2 area then you will have to pay more!
2nd, you get to change between the BBYW products as and when you like with BBYW, (one change per month) but once you move to the new pro you can't, and are stuck with whatever the new packages that are available are.
3rd you get less add-ons. So for example there is no free web space with the new pro (but you can keep the one you have with BBYW if you have used it)
4th, on the new Pro I believe you have to buy additional usage in 5GB chunks @ £5, rather then the 2GB @ £2.

Re: New charges for Pro option

are the off peak times the same?, the new ones are midnight to 8 am, some of the legacy ones are to 4 pm (1600 hrs), if you are not sure on yours look at the VMBU first chart in the members centre

The peak times are the same for BBYW Pro (and the old PAYG).
