New Account

Hi there,
Hope i've posted this in the right area.
I signed up for BB and Phone on Tuesday and was just wondering when I might expect to be told a date when my service will be transfered to Plusnet?
Also do I need to notify Talk Talk?
I've heard that if I do they will cut me off but on your website it says "If you haven't already, you'll need to let your current broadband and phone provider know you're moving to us."
Another thing is on the same page it says "We'll take your first monthly payment 1 month after your service becomes active."

But I already paid for a month by Credit Card when I signed up.
Just a bit confused about the above so would appciate some clarification, Thanks.
Regards,
Wayne

Re: New Account

Hi there and welcome to the forums,
Some manual checks need to be done against the line so I'll see if I can flag someone up to do that now for us, with that in mind we should have an answer for you within 24 hours.

You don't need to, but I do always advise contacting the losing provider.

The payment you've made is for the set up fee and the first month of line rental, so the first month of broadband is what's billed after activation.
I hope that clears things up, please let me know if not! Smiley

Was free setup as I understand it, line rental and broadband is that a sepate amount? I understood it was to be £19.48 per month for both?

Re: New Account

Hi there,
Just checked on the invoice and it's for £19.48 so includes your first month's line rental and first month's broadband (don't worry, you'll not pay the second month's broadband until a month after the broadband activates).
Hope that clears things up for you.

OK Thanks for that, any news on the activation date yet?
One other thing, does the 10GB limit apply to downloads and uploads or just downloads?

Re: New Account

I've just asked one of our provisioning agents to take a look at the account for you, there should be an update on there soon.

Have been given a date now, well actually 2, one e-mail quoted 06/07 and another 07/07, so guess all will be done by 07/07.
