My final bill refund - something is not right

On 31 July I phoned plusnet to inform them that I was leaving due to the new charges and I was moving to  TalkTalk fibre (which I went live with on 14 August). On the 8th Aug Plusnet took their monthly payment of £31.69 for the period 8/8/15 - 7/9/15 (14.99 for Fibre 15.95 Line charge and 0.75p Call charges). As I went live with TalkTalk on 14 August  I assumed that I would get a pro-rata refund for this payment of  approx £23.94. I worked this out by dividing the monthly bill of 30.94 by 31 days which equals £1.00 per day for the 7 days of the billing period that I was with Plusnet (8/8/15 to 14/8/15 inclusive) . Checking into my plusnet account today I see in my billing section that I have been refunded £9.57. Could someone explain this? Am I missing something here? It looks like I am being charged £21.37 for the 7 days of the billing period that I was with plusnet.

I'll feed back on this as I fail to see the logic in the amount we arrived at.
