Moving into flat with Virgin Media. Do I need to tell them if leaving to Plusnet

I'm moving into a new flat next week and I know the current owner has Virgin Media fibre and phone service.

If I wanted to move to Plusnet do I need to tell Virgin Media?

It isn't my service so I don't have an account or contract with them, but I now how obstructive internet providers can be.

Does Plusnet have a simple guide for this kind of thing?

Hello @Superfly It will be up to the line-owner to disconnect the Virgin Media service, if you do not have an account with them it will not be your responsibility.

As all providers operate on the BT Network Line (except Virgin Media) we will not need to cancel their services, we can just install a new line into the premises to support and provide our connection.

Do you have anyway of getting in touch with the former premises occupier? You could make them aware their Virgin Media services are still connected at the premises.

Kind regards.
