Missing PDF Bills

Sadly as we don't keep bills older than 15 months in anything other than raw data, you wouldn't be able to use it as proof of address, because all these bills we extract that can tell you is things like the amounts payable.

Well we should have been notified about that change of policy. It's so very inconvenient and frustrating. Thanks anyway.

As far as I can remember we did make everybody aware of billing changes when we brought out our new billing engine in September 2018 and we posted lots of FAQs about it Here. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you not ask another utility provider for a bill as a proof of address?

The home office requires 3 different sources. Huge problem for me now

Thinking outside the box, do you have a mobile?

You could try to get a proof of address from your gas/electricity supplier, water and mobile provider.

I don't have a contract, I use a pay as you go system. I just wish I had known about this beforehand. So i would have thought of an alternative. Now it's too late. Thank you anyway.

How quaint.  😉

I can download all bills from So Energy back to when I joined in Feb 2020, and even those from previous supplier Bulb back to Jan 2018.

All bills are available from Severn Trent Water back to when I moved into their area in 2013.

All that said, I'd still advise any utility customer to download and save all bills for future reference - they're only a few kilobytes each.

I thought that was what sane people did, anyway.
