Migration from Metronet

Currently on an old legacy Metronet account and I'm thinking it's time I changed to a more suitable and cheaper Plunet account.
Couple of questions...
I have two Metronet mail boxes which I'd like to keep using. I'm guessing that a migration over to Plusnet would close my current Metronet account, but what would happen to my mail boxes ?
Would I still be able to use those addresses and renew them as and when they come up for annual renewal ?

Re: Migration from Metronet

Hi,
We would close the child account.  The master account would remain active.
Only the broadband is affiliate with the chil account, whereas the mailbox(es) belong to the master account and could still be renewed should you wish to do so.

Customer Options ("thinking of leaving") would actually be the best bet.

Re: Migration from Metronet

Started the process of moving over on Jan 30th.
Could someone tell me roughly how long an internal migration takes to complete ?

Re: Migration from Metronet

Hi there,
It looks like this will be picked up by the end of the day today. One thing to mention, once it's done your existing connection will keep working *but* as soon as you try to reconnect the router won't authenticate. You'll need to change the username and password to the Plusnet one before it'll let you in - details of that should be posted on the ticket once the move is complete.
Hope that helps, cheers.
