Market 3 pricing for existing Market 2 users

An article about this has been broadcast on today's You and Yours on BBC Radio 4.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01nb28d start listening at 27:20 (I found it easier to skip to the right time in the pop-out player).
Apparently the reason why Market 3 prices have not been offered to existing Market 2 users is because it's they're still in a trial phase.

Re: Market 3 pricing for existing Market 2 users

More like they deliberately forgot to inform them, this came to light on the news feed a year or so ago.  It keeps appearing still, as people don't know and ask about exchange pricing.
So again if you are on a market 2 exchange and not getting market 3 prices, tell them and from your next bill it will be reduced.

NB the reduction only applies to CURRENT products if you are on a legacy then they will not reduce it.

Re: Market 3 pricing for existing Market 2 users

There's not many on legacy products for whom a switch to one of the current products wouldn't be advantageous.
I wonder how much longer the 'trial' is going to go on?

Re: Market 3 pricing for existing Market 2 users

Hi,
I am connected to an exchange which has TT but is classed as Market 1  >:(.
How many other suppliers does an exchange need to be regarded as Market 2 or Market3 ?

OFCOM don't have a rolling program of reclassifying exchanges so your exchange will change to Market 2 when they get round to doing the next review.

I wonder how many on that package are managing to stay under the 2GB allowance? It wouldn't take much extra usage to make it worth switching to Value.

If your usage is over 120GB, yes. Otherwise aren't you better off on the new 120GB trial (and speeds are better on that as well I think).

Re: Market 3 pricing for existing Market 2 users

Sorry jelv, slight typo I've got 10GB (not Gb). If you recall, that offer to up to 10GB was around just before the packages changed. A lot of FM's took up the offer. I don't get anywhere near my limit because I stream very little in peak hours. I don't stream that much at all really -  I could easily do more though  Wink

Just checked because I was on  that one and cost is £9.99 so is only cost effective on a Market 1 exchange

True, and I am, with little chance of anything changing before 2014 at the earliest and probably 2015!
