Line Rental Saver renewal ends tomorrow

The line rental saver option is being withdrawn TOMORROW Monday 22nd Feb

I only discovered by chance and have renewed a line for April

Typical Plusnet only informing customers when it is not beneficial to Plusnet

 thought this was somewhat underhand

Re: LINE RENTAL SAVER RENEWAL ENDS TOMORROW

@robj3123  Yes Plusnet have not been shouting this from the rooftops but if you follow the forum it was confirmed by Plusnet in December last year but the actual date was not specified then. The date was revealed around 22nd January so just over 4 weeks ago. No chance for me to continue LRS as mine runs to October.☹️

Re: Line Rental Saver renewal ends tomorrow

I renewed mine a couple of weeks ago but in today's tech era Line Rental is from an age of steam trains and gas lamps! It is essential to have a line for broadband but fewer and fewer people now use it for voice calls with a monthly mobile SIM costing so little.

It will be easier to make price comparisons too but with the increasing cost of infrastructure rest assured that prices will only be going one way....!

Re: Line Rental Saver renewal ends tomorrow

@TeeGee  I get what you are saying but I think ISPs have been using the line rental charge and calls to subsidise the cost of Broadband, as they are losing revenue on calls because everyone uses mobile it looks like broadband prices are heading upwards in the near future.
