Left but still paying!!

Left plusnet for BT back in early August and you lot are still billing me??? Doesn’t feel right? Can some please have a look at this and refund me the money I am owed??

PS tried contact us; chat ‘too busy’ and phone was a 40 min wait Sad

Hi @Charrodine,

 

I'm sorry that we have charged you after you moved to your new provider. I've had a look into this and we only received notification from your new provider that they had taken over the landline, not that they had taken over the broadband as well, so the broadband side of your account was left open. I'm very sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused.


I've arranged a refund of the payments that you've made to us since moving to your new provider and I've arranged to fully close your account to ensure that you don't receive any further bills from us. Please see the ticket on your account here for more information regarding your refund.

@Charrodine : in the circumstances I  would check that your new provider actually is providing your broadband service

Thank you for the response - I will look out for the money and cancel my direct debit..

So will I receive interest on the payments taken!?

With interest rates being what they are, even at 'a massive 3%' you'd get less than a penny a day on £100; you are better off asking for a 'goodwill payment'.

Why haven’t your agents refunded me yet? I had to ring 3 times in hold for 40 mins each time before I finally got an email from you saying the account will be closed and money refunded within 20 days. 20 days has now gone and still no refund!
