Hi there, I have left Plusnet now and my account is closed.
On my billing it says my final bill will be -£21.88 and taken on the 7th of May.
Will this amount automatically be debited back into my bank account or do I have to request it.
Many thanks for any advice.

Thanks for getting in touch and I am sorry to hear that you have closed your account.
When your account is closed if the direct debit instruction is still active at the point of creating the final invoice then any refund will be automatically processed back to you through your instruction, this will take 5-7 working days. I can advise that your refund will be sent through your method of payment.
This is not always the case and If the instruction is no longer active then any amount would be sent to you via a cheque.

Thanks for your reply Warwick, my direct debit is still in place so do i have to request the refund or will it just happen, just a little confused at the request part.
If I have to request, can it be done here or do I have to call Plusnet.

I think the 5-7 working days time frame is probably a little optimistic, especially considering PN's on-going billing problems. The usual time frame quoted used to be ten working days, and when my last service with PN was migrated (a few months before the new billing system commenced), the money was in my bank account exactly two weeks later, which in that case was nine working days due to there being a bank holiday during that period.

Not too bothered about the timescale, just wanted to know the procedure.
As long as it arrives eventually, that'll do fine.
