Leaving Plusnet Charges

Hi.

I am looking to leave Plusnet at the end of my contract (31/10/19). I have agreed a contract with a new supplier which starts on the 29/10/19.
Will I get charged for being in contract for two more days when it changes over?

The new supplier only gave me an estimated date of install originally and it seems a hassle to change it.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Leaving Plusnet Charges

Who is your new supplier?

do they use the (bt) openreach network, or is this cable ( virgin) Wimax

if they use the openreach network is this an LLU supplier?

Re: Leaving Plusnet Charges

Talk Talk is a LLU provider so this may well trigger a cease charge as they do not use the Openreach  equipment at the exchange ( only the wires connecting your property to the exchange)

Re: Leaving Plusnet Charges

Ok thanks. I’ve spoken to Talk Talk and they reckon they cannot our the install date back to 31st so I might have to cancel 🙄. I can’t ever get hold of anyone from Plusnet these days. I have been with them for about 10 years and have only stayed for the service. It’s seems to be going downhill now.

Re: Leaving Plusnet Charges

Hey @Bengamble11,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Really sorry to hear you wish to move providers, it may be worth discussing new contracts/deals with our Customer Options team on 0800 13 2632 if you are after a new price.

Is there anything that is making you want to move away from Plusnet that perhaps we could assist you with from this side?

Thanks.
