Hello and good morning.
I have just received my latest bill and I think I have been overcharged.
I signed up on the 8th of July and had the telephone connected the following day. My broadband was connected on the 21st of July.
On my latest bill I was refunded for the days I had no broadband but was not refunded anything for the line rental not used for the 12 days.
I know the phone was connected but I only want broadband, I thought a refund for the 12 days of line rental without broadband would be refunded.
Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Regards.
Bob

You're not alone in only wanting broadband, but a telephone line is required to carry it, and the line rental is to cover installation and maintenance. Whether it is used for phone calls is optional.

I entered a contract for broadband which was not supplied for nearly 2 weeks, the line rental should start on the date broadband was available.
If it took longer would it be satisfactory for the line rental to be charged.
I am happy to pay, but the bill should have commenced when broadband was available and not when the line was connected.
Plusnet states "We'll do you proud" not "we'll do you"
Regards.

You entered a contract for the supply of phone and broadband. Only the broadband was delayed.

If i applied for broadband and line rental is included then the line rental should start when the broadband starts.
Plusnet we will do you proud, not very.
No chat available when stated this was the case.
Not able to get through by phone.
A total disgrace and deplorable attitude.

Just off the phone with customer support and they have agreed with me of the incorrect billing and refunded £10.00.
Do you actually work for Plusnet or just giving your uneducated opinion.

No, I do not work for Plusnet - just giving an educated opinion as a retired BT employee.
Plusnet have obviously decided to be magnanimous on this occasion.
Maybe they've decided to take the hit, or Openreach have refunded Plusnet 12 days line rental in the circumstances.
