Late payment

Hi, Just wondering, my billing date is the 2nd of the month. Today is the 15th but I had to pay the £5.95 extra 14 day late payment charge when paying today. 14 days haven’t elapsed though? Am i missing something? Thank you

A late payment fee is £7.50 and a call barring fee is £5.76 if your phone has to be restricted as a result of late payment. 

On your bill itself is there a reason given for the £5.95 you’re being asked for?
