Re: Large bill this month

I had, but couldn't figure out why I had a call charge of £15.82.  That is very odd as we haven't to my knowledge made THAT many outgoing calls.

That will be because the link takes you to the ongoing bill for the present month.  You need to use the drop down selection to choose the previous month.

Have you managed to find the call charges now?

Yes. Didn't realise you were so expensive outside evenings and weekends. May have to reconsider our package. Not had any offers recently.

Re: Large bill this month

@sully666 -you can currently use providers like 18185/1899 to make phone calls cheaply during non inclusive hours (ie 7am -7pm Mon -Friday) - for 01/02/03 calls I pay a 5p connection charge and then the call is free!!

Re: Large bill this month

When using 1899 in the daytime, for mobile call or international call, I have noticed call charges, only for a few seconds long and taking 50p for these calls.
is this my error in dialiing, as it shows 118990 then a call charge on the right of the bill.
Has anybody else got caught out with a few charges from plusnet using 1899 service
If the number 118990  is a misdial into the 1899 service should I be charged by plusnet for this misdial.

Re: Large bill this month

Fraid so, some years back my other half did a similar thing for 18185, and got 118185.  118xxx numbers are Directory Enquiry numbers and aren't cheap. The call connected albeit only for a second or two, and Plusnet are justifiably able to charge. I didn't like it either but there you go. Needless to say the other half got verbally chastised and told to dial more carefully!
Also note, to update on the charges mentioned by davidj60, both 18185 and 1899 have revised their charges and UK fixed line calls are now 0.5ppm instead of zero pence per minute.

Re: Large bill this month

Still worth using 18185/1899 services -I've made ~ 25 calls in the last 10 days during daytime hours as I'm sorting out my mother's affairs after her death  Cry - my bill with 18185 is ~ £1.70 - a quick estimate shows that the same calls via PN would be north of £15 !!
