Hi
I have been with PN for years and fibre for many of them. I pay the following.....
Plusnet Unlimited Fibre | £19.99(monthly) |
Talk Evenings & Weekends | £18.99(monthly) |
so without spending a lot of time on the phone is that still the best deal for my unlimited Fibre connection, we hardly use our landline as we have mobiles.
I would like to retain the unlimited fibre and the higher speeds, I get around 7.2MB/s.
I am not in any contract at the moment as that expired a long time ago.
Many thanks

The way prices show in your account is a bit confusing.
The £18.99 is actually the line rental.
I would expect there to be an additional charge of £3.50 for your Evenings & Weekends Call Plan which you could consider cancelling

Thanks, I just copied it from my account information. I have cancelled that part of the monthly payments for the evening and weekends.
I just noticed what is being offered for new customers on the unlimited fibre.....
......and wondered if there were any reductions for existing members....?

If you rarely use the phone you could move the line rental to Pulse8 at £13 per month. You'd have to pay Plusnet an extra £2.50 per month for not having the phone line with them - but you'd still save. If you did use the phone, their call charges are a fraction of Plusnet's. For a peak time call to a landline Plusnet charge 21p call setup fee PLUS 12.54p per minute. Pulse8 charge 1p per minute and NO call setup fee (mobile numbers are 8p per minute). Also Plusnet calls are subject to a minimum length of one minute and are rounded up to the next minute. Pulse8 charge to the second. (I've got calls to mobile numbers where the person wasn't available on my itemised billing of £0.0045)
jelv (a.k.a Spoon Whittler) Why I have left Plusnet (warning: long post!) Broadband: Andrews & Arnold Home::1 (FTTC 80/20) Line rental: Pulse 8 Home Line Rental (£14.40/month) Mobile: iD mobile (£4/month) |

It does seem that the better valued package offers are for new customers at the moment and not existing ones.

Before I do that can you confirm that the deal I have noted is just for new customers and no equivalent for existing ones.?
