Installation charge

"You don't have a compatible phone service. To use our broadband you'll need to take one of our Home Phone packages - we'll give you free activation worth £50."
"Installation charge £49.99"
Am I missing something? Is there a way to remove installation charge? Trying to get FTTC in a second property for family.

Re: Installation charge

I think the £49.99 installation charge is for providing a new phone line at the property. The £50 activation charge is for setting up FTTC on that phone line. However since Plusnet will be providing a phone service on that line they wave that FTTC activation charge (but not the line installation charge).

Re: Installation charge

Couple more questions:
Can I order now but have the installation/start date on a specific day next month? Moving soon.
If I give new address can you verify if a line needs to be installed?

Re: Installation charge

Yes, when I ordered my fibre upgrade I got a choice of dates for the engineer appointment.
