I need a final bill, please

Please would Plusnet send me a final bill - I've switched to BT.

BT say they have contacted Plusnet regarding the switch but that I have to confirm with Plusnet that they have cancelled my service with them.

I also need to obtain a final invoice as BT have I requested I send it a copy.

I realise there are phone numbers but they are constantly busy.

Why would BT want or need a copy of your final invoice from PN?

That really does not sound right. If you have switched, and followed the correct process - more details on Gaining provider process tab.

BT place an order stopping anyone else changing your service, PN should write to you giving an option to stop the order, if you don't challenge it, the transfer will happen - no sooner than 10days I see to remember - the PN work out your final bill - sometimes this can take a few days after your normal billing date.

BT contribute up to £300 towards cancellation charges.
Sorry to have posted twice but I do find it tricky finding where and how to find an answer.
It’s probably easier for younger people.

Thank you very much indeed for a useful and constructive reply. How refreshing.
I have not received a letter or any other form of contact from Plusnet regarding this although BT agrees with your opinion.

So which company is providing your broadband service now? Have you actually migrated to BT or is the change still to take place. It sounds like you are expecting charges for leaving your PlusNet contract before it has ended. PlusNet have to inform you under OFCOM rules that another provider is taking over your service so you should have received a letter.

BT is the new provider. Yes - I am now using BT Broadband. The change took place three days ago. I have not heard from PlusNet regarding charges they would make for the departure.

Thank you for offering the help. I am trying to contact PlusNet by phone but they are engaged for 15 minutes or more and 'Chat' is not available.

Now I understand why they want a copy of the final invoice:  They will pay any charges you'll incur by leaving your PN contract early.
