I have only just discovered the Webspace, Email and Greenby migration plan. What's happening?

Sorry haven't been on forum for a while (since everything was working for me). I just noticed about this migration plan. I've had nothing by email about it. I've read on another post that those with webspace will be last to be moved. What's the current status, and when might this affect me?

This effectively removes the last two pieces of value that kept me on Plusnet since 2002.

Hi @starfry

It's great to have had you with us for such a long time, and we hope that you'll find value in remaining with us going forward.

We aim to have the migration take place as smoothly as possible, you'll find all the information about the move on our Changes to Plusnet email and domain services FAQs page

Re: I have only just discovered the Webspace, Email and Greenby migration plan. What's happening?

Thank you @Ali_A. I think I saw that link before posting but thanks.

Would it be possible to check my situation? I presume I have not been migrated because I have not heard anything. It would be good to know that and when a migration might happen, so that I know how long I have to opt out if I want to.

Also, what happens after the transfer regarding the relationship between Greenby and Plusnet? Do they become two independent services? The FAQ does not cover this, for example if one left PN for whatever reason does the Greenby thing continue? I presume it does given that it's a separate paid product with a two year free initial period.

Also some clarity on who Greenby is. It appears to be an entity created to take the hosting load from PlusNet rather than an existing service provider. They don't seem to do anything except this PlusNet transfer. And there is no information on what their product is - SLA information and things like that. Given this is effectively a requirement to buy a service from a third party (albeit with a two year free incentive), it would be good to have detail about what the service is, technically and contractually.

Hi @starfry

You'll be notified before the migration takes place. Yes, they would be separate, independent services and your Greenby service would continue if you were to leave Plusnet.

I'm not sure if you've seen this other Greenby FAQ page, but it covers the process and what's included with their service on there.
