House Move - Early cancelation due to low speeds quoted

Would have raised this as a support ticket but there doesn't seem to be a way!

I'm completing on a house in a few weeks (give or take), and while I'd love to take my PlusNet with me the speeds quoted at the new property are less than half my current minimum guarenteed speeds - does anyone know what the deal with quoted speeds and house moves are? Could I move, change package down to standard Fibre (Minimum on both is the same - 24.9Mb), and then cancel based on the lower rate to save a few pennies? Does the house move by default tie you in to a new contract for a minimum period?

I'm ~9 months in to a 24 month contract (Oct 2023) so whatever I do is going to be costly, right? (My maths works that out to be ~£250 to cancel?)

Cheers,

James

@bhworld

You need to remember that it’s your choice to leave part way through your contract. You need to ring Plusnet and see what sort of deal you can negotiate. You may find that you can persuade them to downgrade you for a better price in exchange for a new contract.
