High usage? Met Office Desktop Widget

If anyone using this widget has seen a jump in their usage:
[quote=Seen on Usenet p.s.c-f.]At least I think I've found the culprit that's been devouring our bandwidth since the Sat 22nd, when we went from around 6 or 7 GB a week total to over 27GB a week - it would appear to be the Met Office Desktop Widget!
I've used it for ages without any trouble, but it has started taking top spot in the Network Resource Monitor, and exiting it dropped real time bandwidth usage to something near normal.

Re: High usage? Met Office Desktop Widget

I couldn't work out where to put it. In the Technology section it wouldn't be seen by many. I thought that the most likely would be someone complaining about being billed for extra usage they were not aware of so I stuck it in here.

Re: High usage? Met Office Desktop Widget

I run the Met Office Widget - haven't noticed anything unusual, but will keep an eye on usage  now
