Help regarding with last debt on previous account

I need some help I was with plusnet last year I left plusnet to switch over to sky I was still in my contract therefore plusnet sent the outstanding balance to a debt recovery if I happened to re-sign up to plusnet will your system flag this up or am I best signing up in my partners name

Hi Paul, if you owe money on an account (Or with the debt recovery firm an outstanding amount was sent to) and sign up a new account, it's possible this will be closed down due to an outstanding debt on a previous account connected to you.

I wouldn't recommend signing up in someone else's name to try and get around this as it won't necessarily stop it being linked to you.
