Re: Having issues loading sites ( http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed)

If the computer has no payment, then it will restrict your internet access, so forcing you to do something about it. It is automatic and swift, actual people are not involved until you telephone plusnet.

The theory is that using the computer saves money and keeps your bills low, people who might care are expensive! In fairness, Direct  Debit means this problem should not occur unless your bank stops payments.

Re: Having issues loading sites ( http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed)

Hello @berniebbutler1,

I am deeply sorry for your loss and please accept our sincerest condolences.

You can find out more information on our failed payment processes here and I can assure you the browsing restriction is used as an additional reminder tool and should allow most customers to click an acknowledgement, allowing browsing as normal. However we are aware that some customers are unable to do this and we will have to manually remove this for them.

I am sincerely sorry that you appear to be one of them and I have requested this to be removed. You should now be able to browse normally, please get back to us here if you have any further problems.

Re: Having issues loading sites ( http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed)

Hi there

Over the past day or so I have been having a similar problem (getting the  "failed.billing.plus.net refused to connect" message). Also received payment reminder email even though the direct debit is set up and should be working fine. I then cannot click on any of the links in the email to try and log into my account and resolve as it ends up with the same error message. This happens on multiple internet browsers.

Please can you look into this asap and it is very frustrating whilst trying to work from home.

Re: Having issues loading sites ( http://failed.billing.plus.net/apps/payment/failed)

user63 - Glad you got it sorted over the telephone.

The people at plusnet are usually very good and helpful when you get to contact an actual person.

The "chat" function does work too, this can be accessed using a smartphone with data if your internet will not work. The whole problem is that a computer is running the day-to-day buisness (which saves money and keeps costs down, supposedly). If the computer thinks that you have no means of payment setup, it acts quickly to restrict you.

Once you can deal with a human being and talk through the problem, it can be resolved. Just have to be patient in getting hold of one!

Initially it comes as such a shock when the Internet will not work, you have logged-on to do something and therefore it's very annoying, very quickly. It's not obvious what the problem is and you start rebooting etc. first and then getting angry.
