Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

My bank (Lloyds) has recently made available a drop down box which lists pending / uncleared payments for direct debits and cheques which don't directly come off the balance until they expire (then vanish) or clear the account.

Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

I have a debit pending on my TSB online statement....

I'll see what happens when my bank statement is brought up to date.

Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

I updated my card details on the 23rd so I'm guessing that might be the cause...
Edit: Having had a read of this thread that appears to be the case so as I said above I'll keep an eye on my account.

I'm not sure why you need to contact your bank, can't you just check the statement to see that the £1.01 hasn't been taken?

Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

Hi Chris
Just been chasing this up & to confirm
It does show on my statement & the bank was supposed to be looking into why this was the case,
as it should of all been completed in the background & I should not of seen the transaction taking place.
However they are now escalating this to a higher level as it seemed to have been ignored.
Will update in due course, as they promised to get back to me by the and of the week with an update / hopefully a resolution
Whilst I have you attention (slightly off topic however still a support issue)
Can you please find out why my other thread has been ignored by Plusnet & why they have not honoured their own words

I've not really been involved in that other thread, and Kelly is off at the moment so I'll get Chris Pettitt to speak to someone in the products team about this.

Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

Update:
With regard to my post here I am pleased to say the £1.01 has now disappeared from my bank transaction list and has not been debited from my account  Smiley

Re: Has anyone paid their bill & then another £1.01 charged - EDIT - It wasn't

Perhaps I should look in this forum more often Roll_eyes
Just had a phone call to say my credit card has been cancelled "due to a suspected fraudulent transaction" and "my card details may have been compromised" - so I now have to wait for a replacement Sad
Whilst pleased (to an extent) that they are aggressively proactive in this area (especially spending in Europe etc), the transaction was a Plusnet £1.01 "validation" reservation against the account when I added the card as a backup to my normal payment method Crazy
Don't think I'll bother to register the new card - just let the details wither away (the expiry date was August, anyway) as it cannot be deleted via the control panel Shocked
