Re: Getting PAC without calling?

If you wish to take your broadband away from Plusnet then it's a MAC you may need and to get this you can call the customer Options Team on
0800 432 0200 or 0345 140 0200. Lines are open between 9.00am-5.30pm on weekdays (except Bank Holidays).
There is no automated system for this procedure.

Re: Getting PAC without calling?

If you do not want to phone you can also request a MAC via post - info from this page.

A cancellation request can be made in one of two ways:
By calling us: The quickest and easiest way to request a cancellation is by calling our Customer Options Team on 0800 432 0200 or 0345 140 0200. Any notice period that applies to the cancellation request will start as soon as a call is made to our Customer Options Team.
By post to: Plusnet, The Balance, 2 Pinfold St. Sheffield, S1 2GU. It is recommended that for customers' own peace of mind, any letter containing a cancellation request is sent by recorded delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for lost letters not sent in this way. The letter must state the account username, and if appropriate any final payments due should be included.

Re: Getting PAC without calling?

The quickest way to obtain your MAC code will be by calling, generally it's the best way so that PN can pass data protection and make sure its the correct person trying to cancel down the account. The code is generated in 5 working days if you do it over the phone, so if you want to cancel quickly calling is the best option.
As above it is the Customer Options team that will deal with it, you may have to go through to Customer Services first to be transferred through, at least you then end up in a queue that is only for people through to the correct department so shouldn't take too long to get through.

Cheers guys. Guess calling is the easiest option  :). It would be good if it was online but I guess scream makes a valid point about data protection. Thanks for the replies anyways

Re: Getting PAC without calling?

Just for clarification - a PAC is a Porting Authorisation Code used for transferring a Mobile number from one network operator to another.
And a MAC is a Migration Authorisation Code used for tranferring a Broadband service from one ISP to another.
