Future fibre upgrade effect on contract

Can anyone tell me what happens to a contract if the local infrastructure is upgraded to much better speeds within the contract term? Am currently considering either renewing at existing low speeds or switching to mobile broadband router with another provider. Thanks

Re: Future fibre upgrade effect on contract

Hi @DRemote6
If Openreach upgrade their local infrastructure, then PN will be able to offer improved speeds.
Being a BT group brand PN can only provide services over Openreach infrastructure and not via the new alternative networks.
To take advantage of any new Openreach infrastructure, you will need to keep an eye on Openreachs developments and check with Plusnet, then initiate an upgrade.
So long as you take a new contract with Plusnet, Plusnet will not hold you to the existing contract or require money to close the contract.
