FullFibre contact renewal

Hi,

Contract is coming up for renewal. I saw on plusnet site Full Fibre 150 for £22.99 with a £50 reward voucher.  However, when I login and check my deals, it only shows £24.99 to renew existing package and no reward voucher.

Now I believe the reward voucher is only for new customers but I was expecting the price to be £22.99 initially before the increase next year.

Why are these not updated to the same price, seems like existing customers not getting the best deals?

Thanks

Kev

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

After being on the telling bone today it is apparent that the price and the reward card are only available to new customers.

Would I be correct in thinking that you are currently on a FF150 contract? I think that may now be FF145?

I tried to get a deal (downgrade on my FF300, as I don't use anywhere near my current provision) and was initially informed that there was no price difference between renewing my FF300 and downgrading to FF145. After a brief break I was offered FF145 at 24.99 GBP.

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

Thanks for your reply. Yes I’m on the full fibre 145 package.

Looking at plusnet for £1 more I can get 300 but not sure as doesn’t seem right package price is more. I understand reward as an incentive to join and not for existing.

Will have a look round and see as contract runs out Dec so got bit of time. I think sky is similar price, £25 so might switch and then move back later, have to see.

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

If you do not have services attached to the account which you deem essential, just sign up as a new customer.  Set the start date to be the end date of the existing contract.  I doubt that the business has anything like same name at same address traps in the ordering system.

However, usually the best deals are obtainable from COTS...

Contact Customer Options Team (aka COTS)

COTs is the place to go to if you want to find out anything to do with your contract in respect of leaving, renewing or simply enquiring about early termination charges (ETCs). They have their own number and tend to answer quicker than the general customer service number.

Call this number 0800 432 0080 and press 2 and it takes you straight to a Sales/COT advisor. You get two simple options of 'are you an existing member' or 'are you new'.

Open

You're doing all right, Kev, I renewed last year for £26 on a 80/20 package  😂

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

Thanks, I thought I wouldn't be able to sign up for the package as it will tell I'm an existing customer and hence I'd not get the deal...

Need to weight it up but will wait for more black Friday deals and see.

Plusnet’s BF deals are running already.  Not a lot cheaper!

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

Yes, Sky seems to be the nearest, not sure if all other providers are doing there black Friday deals, wondering whether to wait till Black Friday and see if any additional deals appear or just opt for one in next few days.

Tempted by the 300 package at just £1 a month as gives a higher minimum speed also.

Only downside if switch to Sky is unknown price rise as it doesn't stipulate.

@kev2025

Upgrading to Full Fibre 300 would also increase you upload speed from 30 to 50 Mbps which can be useful if anyone works from home.

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

Thanks, wish could work from home but unfortunately not. For the £1 difference it might be worth it. Just thinking if streaming and downloading stuff might be better.

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

If i renew my 145 or upgrade to the 300, will the referral still be valid and they will get the discount again or do I need to re-enter there details so they continue to get it?

Currently thinking of sticking with plusnet and go for the FF300 as its only £1 more and the guaranteed min speed may be useful.  First time renewing/upgrading since i switched to them almost 2 years ago.

Or should I just phone them up and upgrade and confirm they will still get the discount or more of a discount if its higher by choosing the FF300.

Thanks

The referral is on the account.  Changing product does not change the account or its attributes.

@kev2025 the referral is linked to your account. If you change products, the referral will continue to get the referral value for the new product ( although I think the values are the same for all FF products )

Re: FullFibre contact renewal

Thanks all, I thought perhaps the referral was only for the initial contract and you had to re-add if renewing/upgrading.
