Formatting of MAC Code - Query on Plusnet's Text Request

Hi, I am in the throes of moving to PlusNet and received a text asking for my MAC key in the format LXXX1234567/AB25J. I received the MAC key from BT but this is one numeral longer e.g. LXXX12345678/AB25J.
I replied to the text PlusNet using the BT MAC key but PlusNet responded "we are unable to find details of my query"! I then tried to phone 0800 432 0200 to query the correct key length but they were on a long hold time so I eventually input the MAC key online. It says the key has been accepted.
Can PlusNet get their MAC text requests corrected? I notice from other correspondence on this forum that the correct key length is  LXXX12345678/AB25J.

Re: Formatting of MAC Code - Query on Plusnet's Text Request

Hi there,
I'm pretty sure that it should be seven numbers in the middle. Would you mind PM'ing me the MAC if this isn't already resolved?
The correct format of a MAC key should be as follows:
4 letters, 7 numbers, a forward slash, 2 letters, 2 numbers, and then 1 letter; additionally, it contains only uppercase letters and no spaces. An example of which is: LLLL1234567/LL89L.
Thanks,
Matty

Hi Matty, have PM'd you as requested. USwitch web site shows examples of both 7 & 8 numbers in a MAC code!
