Fibre being installed on Monday AM, but no router

Hi
As I have not received the fibre router from PN over the last 2 weeks since placing my upgrade, is the BT engineer likely to have any in his van???
If PN are reading, PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL my appointment for Monday, as I have the day booked off from work!
Thanks

The BT Engineer will only have the router modem not the modem router
Given the state of the postal service at present it might just arrive on Monday
Edit - whoops

Hi Jim
Thanks..... I guess you mean the modem and not the router.....
Trouble is the post normally comes late morning, and the appointment is AM!
I raised this by ticket a few days ago, but not had a response.

If the router does not turn up in time you can make sure things are working using a direct connection from a single PC to the BT modem: http://community.plus.net/library/broadband/fibre-help-how-to-set-up-a-pppoe-dialler-in-vistawindows...

Re: Fibre being installed on Monday AM, but no router

Great, but I am a little disappointed that PN have neither posted the router in time, or in the event that it has been lost in the post, they could have responded to my ticket.
Cheers

As 'Jelv' indicated, it is trivially easy to connect a PC to an ethernet internet modem, and get connected to the internet  Smiley
Here is a YouTube video demonstrating how simple it is to do using Ubuntu (Linux) -
