Ending BB package

I hope one of the mods can pick this up,what i would like to find out is what it would cost me to end my BB contract.

I would however like to keep my phone line package with PN.

Re: Ending BB package

Hi there.

I've added your current cancellation fee to a ticket on your account which you can view from here: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=191836421 however we unfortunately don't provide phone only packages. Is there anything prompting you to cancel your broadband package that we can help you with?

Re: Ending BB package

Well the problem we have since moving house a few months back is we can only get about a half mb here which i can,t stand anymore.

So i can get a router from the three network as my neighbour just did & he now gets about 15 mb

Re: Ending BB package

Sorry to hear this. Sad Sadly you'd need to go to a phone only provider or port your number out to VoIP if you're wanting to keep your number and get rid of your broadband in favour of a 3 router.

Re: Ending BB package

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be able to, assuming they do a phone only package

Re: Ending BB package

Ok,so not too sure the best way to do this, here is what i want to do.

I want to migrate my line & phone number to someone else & i am willing to pay the fees for ending my BB service.

What is the best way to do this, can i migrate the phoneline first then end the BB & pay the fees, still to work out the best date for this, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Ending BB package

Hi @jockwav, I think the way you've suggested should work fine here, i.e migrating the phone service out to a provider that will provide a phone only service, followed by contacting us to arrange the cancellation of the broadband service, if you are not migrating the broadband out to another ADSL/FTTC provider.

If you drop us a message when you arrange for the phone service to migrate out, or when this is due to complete, we'll be happy to check over the account to ensure this is all progressing as expected for you.

Re: Ending BB package

Trying to work out the logistics of this, anyway i spoke to the provider who would be taking over my landline. What they say is it will probably take around 2-3 weeks for it to complete.

I am getting a wifi home BB from the 3 network as my neighbour got it & it is a lot faster than my line BB.

So if i phone my new line provider back today & ask them to migrate my line & phone number when should i arrange to pay off my contract, hope you see what i am trying to work out here.Smiley

I take it that fibre has not yet reached your parts?
