End of contract 22nd April, am I safe to start the leaving process?

Hi, my Mum's contract expires on April 22nd 2021 (end of 18 month contract), would it be safe for her to start the process to move to another ISP without any early termination charges? Thanks.

It takes 10 working days to transfer a service so she’ll still be in contract if you start it now unless the new provider can set the transfer date to the 23rd April.

@asm46598  Welcome to the forum.

The service is paid a month in advance, therefore the contract is already fully paid up. Consequently any cancellation charges would result in a reduction in the amount that Plusnet would refund to you after leaving.
If you assume that you will not get a refund then just go for it.
