Early termination

If I was to terminate my account when the LRS came to an end, would it just be £5.50 a month I would need to pay for each remaining month on the contract or are there other charges too?

Re: Early termination

have a look here for the cancellation amount (not the cease amount which is different) https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=account_summary

Re: Early termination

Ah, great. Thanks.
As there is no 'Cessation charge' shown I assume there's £0 to pay there?

Re: Early termination

Nope - it will be charged at  but not everything is shown. Why I have no idea
The cessation charge is payable if the broadband is cancelled not just migrated away

Re: Early termination

+1. Awful customer service when I moved a couple of years back. Even had to resort to recording calls to them as proof of what had been agreed. Came back to PN as soon as they increased their prices with the get out clause.

Re: Early termination

I would be off tomorrow from plusnet if I could, I moved from talktalk what a mistake, plusnet customer service is much worse than talktalk.

Re: Early termination

Sorry, it was actually Sky not TalkTalk.
Based on this, I would assume there would be no cessation to move to Sky?

Hi tejalmodi,
You will not pay a cessation charge as long as you seamlessly migrate to Sky. MisterW is quite rightly referring to a thread where this is confirmed by Linn. So whilst I am overseeing this I will guarantee that you won't receive any debt recovery notices.
Our suppliers are changing the provisioning journey and order placement structure soon for all providers. This should hopefully stop the confusion.

However... it will be interesting to see what happens here as it appears a similar case. http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,135702.0.html
Am I right in thinking there is NO cessation to move from Plusnet to Sky?

Re: Early termination

Hey, that's me.
Let me know if you encounter any problems.
I have double checked this morning, and anything system related should be fine.

EDIT: By this I meant, you shouldn't incur the cessation charges. Though if you encounter any objection, then let me know.

Re: Early termination

Sorry, I worded the above post awfully.
There shouldn't be any charges, and our systems should correctly reflect this.
