Early termination Charges

Hello, I recently received my online bill and saw I have been charged with early termination fees. I do not understand why I get this as a month before my due date (28/03/2019), I have phone up and told plusnet about not to continue with my subscription when the contracts due and received a confirmation over the phone that everything is sorted and no charges will be charged. Any help?
Or is this a case of ill practise of charge first, if they realize, we refund, else keep quiet?

Hi there, I'm not sure why this happened but it is definitely a mistake so I'm really sorry for any concern caused.
