Early Termination Charge query

Hi everyone Smiley


I have requested a switch from Plusnet as my contract is set to expire on 15/04/19. 
Obviously you have to give 2 weeks notice to cancel/ switch so i sent my request in to my new provider on Monday 1/4/19

They advised my internet will switch over automatically on 15/04/19. I received an email from plus net to say that I am leaving early and i am due to pay £11 termination charge. It also states that there may be more as they have yet to receive notice of my broadband switch.

Can someone clarify why when my service is ending on the date my contract ends that i am due to pay an early termination charge?
