I wish to downgrade from Fibre to ADSL but cannot do this via the member centre. How is this best achieved?

However before doing that have a look here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?s=0&action=account_summary and see what is says under "(upon cancellation)" against your fibre contract
You can ignore the cessation charge

It says £74.20(upon cancellation). So it will cost me £74 to switch! What is this for? This was not explained at the time.

Because when you signed up to fibre you signed up to an 18 month contract (could be 12 month but I doubt it)

The 'good' news is that the cancellation charge is proportional to how far you are through your contract, so next month will be an eighteenth (of the total contract cancellation fee) less than it is today, reducing by the same amount each month until the end of the contact period is reached.

I moved in December last year one month before my 18 month contract was due to expire. I was told to either pay a moving fee or start a new contract.

You're best speaking to our customer options team, they'll be able to advise of any charges that would be applied if you did switch from fibre to ADSL.
