I ordered my fibre 80/20 unlimited, in April this year based on the Pn estimate of 43Mb, and the btdsl checker
results of "FTTC Range A, 60.1 high 43 low" Downstream. 17 high, 10.8 low upstream - Range B impacted 51.1
high 28.3 low. downstream. 17 high, 10.8 low upstream.
When activated I had a good 48Mb download speed which I was happy with, however after the first 10 days my
speed dropped to 38 Mb,( not bad it may go back up a little I thought!).
Since then things have only got worse, now down to 26 mb down and 5.2 Mb up.
Will speed improve? (I don't think so!)
To make things worse the bt dsl checker now has been changed,
(it now reads "FTTC range A 43.9 high 32.8 low, downdtream. ((9.3 high. 6.6 low upstream.))
FTTC rang B impacted 37.5 high 28.3 low. downstream.(( 9.3 high . 5.3 low upstream))
With this latest bombshell from bt I would request a downgrade to the 40/20 unlimited package please, No point in
paying for the 80/20 unlimited package when its not attainable.
many thanks

Is there an option here for it https://portal.plus.net/apps/account/change?bolWizReset=1
If there isn't you might have to phone the customer options team on
0800 013 2632 or 0330 123 9197
Monday to Friday: 9.00am - 8.00pm (Except Bank Holidays)
Saturday: 9.00am - 5.30pm
The reason for that is it may trigger a new contract

You need to check but my impression from previous posts was that downgrading from 80/20 unlimited to the new products couldn't be done via the automatic systems

Jim was correct, I was unable to proceed on the Product change from the automatic system on the link, however, I was able to downgrade by telephone.

I downgraded from FTTC 80/20 unlimited to FTTC 40/20 unlimited on the 26/06/14,
However my account details still show Plusnet unlimited at £19.99 and not £14.99, (as agreed by phone on 26/06/14)
Is this just an oversight?

At any given moment in the universe many things happen. Coincidence is a matter of how close these events are in space, time and relationship.

As your account change is due for the following billing date, you would still see the current product at £19.99 when you visit the member centre. After checking the change queue I can see that you have the new fibre product ready to switch over as of the 11/07/13. I've attached a quick screen grab of the account below which shows the current account (old product) and what you're due to change to (new product).
