Does early cancellation come into immediate effect?

Due to the recent price increase I am considering leaving plusnet. However, I can't risk any downtime in my internet connection between now and mid June if I were to switch to a new ISP. If I want to avoid the early termination fee, I have to let plusnet know that I am leaving within a month of being told about the price increase. Is it possible to call them now and request the cancellation to occur at a later date to avoid this fee?

I'm afraid you would not be able to request cancellation but defer it for a period of time.
The best thing I can suggest is top speak to our Customer Options Team who will be able to give you all information regarding the cancellation of your account.
