Ditching the call plan revisited

Following on from Townman's suggestion here

https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Ditching-the-Call-Plan/m-p/1989337

I have attached my recent bill - which I don't quite understand?

If I get rid of Plusnet Anytime I save £12.02 - even if I don't port my number [£1.44pcm] that brings the bill down to £26.40

What I am not getting is how the 'Line Rental' is £30.46 but Unlimited Fibre is removed?

From what I understand I *have* to pay 'Line Rental' regardless because it's not possible to provide anything without that component anyway?

So there is no way to get my bill down lower than removing the Anytime call plan?

In a word, no.

Line Rental is a charge for the connection to your property, be it used for your phone service (over the Internet or PSTN), your Internet connection, or both.

Ah OK you are saying "No, you can't reduce your bill any further"

Confirming my assertion.

Thanks!

@cpcnw

 Sorry for the double negative. The correct answer to your question is yes, there’s no way to reduce your bill any further.

Your assumption is correct.
